By God’s grace, I was born into a pastor’s family. When I was six years old, I was praying for the father of a friend who did not believe, and a desire arose in me to share God’s Word with others. Since then, I have continued to dream of becoming a pastor, and that desire remains unchanged in my heart.

My father often told me, “I hope you will become a servant of God who is faithful before God, obedient to the Word, and honest before the congregation.” His teaching became a holy challenge to me, and the godly lives of my parents gradually shaped my own.

God brought me to new life slowly but unmistakably. In my mid-teens, I recognized the pride with which I had justified sin and began to long to know God rightly. I transferred from public school to a Christian alternative school, where I studied the confessional documents of the Reformed churches and began pursuing sound theology and a godly life.

After earning a BTh from Chongshin University and an MDiv from Hapdong Theological Seminary, I moved to Grand Rapids with my wife and completed a ThM in systematic theology at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary. I am currently pursuing a DMin there while serving the children’s and youth ministries at Hahn-In.

I treasure the connection between sound theology, a faithful church, and a godly life that I learned in seminary. Grounded in love for Jesus, I hope to walk the journey of faith with the congregation and serve the church, Christ’s body, for the glory of God.
